OAXACA
A DEEP AND UNFORGETTABLE DISCOVERY OF DIVERSE MEXICO
PROGRAM: HISTORY AND CULTURAL HERITAGE
GRADE: HIGH SCHOOL
Programs:
"History and Cultural Heritage"
"Art class"
"Social Service" (Structured program based on the needs of the school)
"Integration and teamwork for teachers"
JUSTIFICATION:
Oaxaca is the most indigenist state in Mexico where cultural syncretism characterizes Mexican society. It is a place that seduces the world with its charm.
It is a perfect example to sensitize us and to learn more of our national identity as well as to the concept of cultural heritage. It allows us to better understand the importance of conservation in a country like Mexico. Mexico is heir to mainly two cultures: Mesoamerican and European, and it is heir to an infinity of cultural expressions that define it and give it meaning and life.
To study cultural heritage is to understand that there is not a single pattern to culture, but different cultures. That is to say there are different ways of being, living, creating, thinking and understanding life and the world.
To study cultural heritage is to perceive, from this diversity, the changes in the long and ephemeral process of human expression. Discovery allows for greater awareness in children and adolescents
This green class aims to make the student aware of the importance of fostering tolerance and respect among the cultures in Mexico, in order to preserve and understand our identity in the processes of globalization.
